Welcome To...

My friend Marissa is one talented gal.
I look up to not only her decorating skills
but also her beautiful and amazing photography.
She captures people in the most
beautiful and sincere way.
She is definitely one talented gal!

Her house has so many wonderful details.
I especially love the typewriter and
the positioning of the frames
and clocks in the kitchen.
So cute.

You can see more pictures of her home on
her blog, The Big Rainy.

And you check out her photography here.

{A Womanly Essential}

{photo compliments of Real Simple}

A womanly essential: a sewing kit.

I highly recommend having one handy at home.
You never know when a button will fall off your favorite sweater,
or a seam come a little loose in a cardigan.
For these simple fixes you don't need a sewing machine,
just a simple sewing kit.

Here are a couple of my favorites:
I have this one.
A creative one.
A cutesy one.
A plaid one.
A Victorian one.

Do you own a sewing kit?
Where did you find one?

{Engagement Session Inspiration}

{Photo compliments of Mr. Max Wager}

I'm doing another engagement photo session today.
How could I not enjoy capturing love and
bringing out its natural beauty?
This job makes me smile.

Coming Back...

My dear readers,

I have missed you all!

I cannot stay away any longer.
I have so much I want to show and tell!

1. THANK YOU all so very much for your encouraging words
while I was away. I won't go into detail of what
took place but know that your kind words
were so very encouraging.
Thank you.

2. I cannot love fall more than I do right now.

3. I have been doing some baking
and have found some wonderful fall recipes
that I am looking forward to sharing with you.

4. I came home yesterday from work
to the most wonderful piece of news...

I have been published!

My photography and table design
have been published in a magazine
called
Today's Vintage. I'm also featured on
their website,
found here. I am so thrilled!
Having a hard copy of my published work
is a wonderful experience!

5. I'm looking forward to coming back
to full posts soon. This has been a very busy season
and isn't looking to slow down for me.
But I have a lot of exciting things to share with you soon.

Love you all :)

Unexpected Things

So, over the past couple of days my life has
taken a couple of unexpected turns.
All is well but blogging needs to be
low on my list of priorities for the time being.
Sorry to be so off-and-on lately dear readers
but right now all I know is that
blogging does not come first.

I will return soon, I promise.

{Posting}

{Photo compliments of Nami Yamamoto }

Fall has always been my favorite and most busy season,
but this fall has proven to be the busiest I have ever been.
I am afraid that is my only excuse for such lame/short posts.
I have decided that instead of posting just anything everyday,
I am now going to post less frequently with more of an intent.
This way my posts are more heartfelt. I think you will all understand :)

My new blogging schedule will be starting this week.
I do hope you all enjoy.

And now for a couple of questions:
How do you fellow bloggers make each and every post so special?
Where do you find inspiration and time?

xoxo
